HERO Campaign Holds 18th Annual “Be a HERO” Golf Tournament

SWAINTON, N.J. (April 12, 2018) – The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers will hold its 18th Annual “Be a HERO” golf tournament and dinner auction Wednesday, May 16th at the Union League National Golf Club in Swainton, NJ, hosted by MediLink Homecare, Inc. Registration and a putting contest sponsored by Townsquare Media begins at 11:00 a.m.followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start with scramble format. A buffet dinner, tin cup challenge, awards and silent and live auction round out the day at 5 p.m.

“Since its inception 18 years ago, our golf tournament has raised more than a half million dollars to promote the use of safe and sober designated drivers,” Bill Elliott, founder of the HERO Campaign, said. “Through events like this, we can continue to encourage individuals to step up and take the HERO Pledge.”

Funds raised from the event benefit the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers, a program of the John R. Elliott Foundation.
