Local Student Organization Holds Eighth Annual Nerfball Tournament

The Sportsmanship Award to Balls To Duty: Case Chonolan, AJ Dawson, Austin Gay, Josh Gianetta, Sarah Gosner, Kyle Houghton, Jess Wallowitch, and captain, Carly Friedman.

Nerfball Tournament is a competitive event awarding medals to the winning team: The Elite 8, with trophies to the “best dressed” – The Justice League, and medals to the team demonstrating “sportsmanship” – Balls To Duty, along with a half time show to entertain the audience between other things. This event will help raise money and awareness for The John R. Elliott Campaign and provide student members of FBLA with firsthand experience for the business world. Please come and encourage your favorite teams at this important event. Over 60 teams paid a registration fee and competed in double elimination style competitions and their fees will become the organization’s donation to the Hero Campaign for the second year in a row. Tickets were be sold at the door at a cost of three dollars for adults and students with free admission for children ages 5 and under.

Donations and sponsorships from the Hero Foundation, Walt’s Famous Primo Pizza, Philly Pretzel in Somers Point, This n That Uniforms of Pleasantville, and The Ocean City Home Bank, were greatly appreciated and appeared in our event program.
