HERO Campaign Unveils HERO-Themed Police Cruiser In Linwood [Video]

In an effort to encourage sober and designated driving, the Linwood Police Department and the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign For Designated Drivers unveiled a HERO Campaign-themed police cruiser during Linwood’s ‘National Night Out’ on Tuesday, August 6th.

The HERO Campaign joined National Night Out celebrations in other local towns, as well, including Egg Harbor Township, Pleasantville, Somers Point, Northfield and Evesham Township.

The new HERO police car serves as a rolling billboard for the campaign’s signature message, “Be A HERO. Be A Designated Driver.” along with its trademark logo.

When not on patrol, the cruiser will be displayed at community events and at local schools to educate students and the public about the importance of responsibility and the dangers of drinking and driving. The HERO wrap was donated by James Lin from Car Toyz in Pleasantville.

It is the fourth law enforcement vehicle in South Jersey to feature HERO Campaign signage, following police departments in Ocean City, Evesham Township and Atlantic City.
