The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign Hosts 7th Annual Walk on Ocean City Boardwalk

Ocean City, N.J. (June 21, 2017) – The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the use of safe and sober designated drivers to prevent drunk driving tragedies, will host its 7th Annual HERO Walk in Ocean City on Sunday, October 29 beginning at 11 a.m. at 6th Street and the Boardwalk.

Every year, thousands of supporters come together to celebrate the HERO Campaign encouraging drivers to “Take the HERO Pledge”. Participants can add their signature to the 30,000 people who have already taken the HERO Pledge to be or use designated drivers whenever alcoholic beverages are consumed.

“I am amazed by the overwhelming support for the HERO Campaign over the past 17 years,” said Bill Elliot, HERO Campaign founder and Chairman. “Every year I look forward to all of the people who come out to celebrate and take the pledge to end drunk driving and I’m excited for another great event.”

Participants can walk or run the 5k and can create or join a team. For Pre-registration visit www.theherowalk.org. For more information call (609) 626-3880.
