“HEROES” Book Honors Ensign John R. Elliott

Third-graders and students from the SJRS Book Project include designated driving message

SOMERS POINT, NJ (March 14, 2017) – Bill and Muriel Elliott, founders of the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers, were honored guests of Sylvia McFadden’s third-grade class and students from the SJRS Book Project at St. Joseph Regional School in Somers Point. The class presented a student portrait of their son, Ensign John R. Elliott, and a copy of the students’ newly published book, Jersey Shore HEROES. The book, which is on sale at the Shore Medical Center Gift Shop as a fundraiser for the Shore Cancer Center in Somers Point, includes John’s story and the creation of the HERO Campaign in his memory.
