Atlantic Pops performs annual HERO Spring Concert

The Atlantic Pops Community Band staged its annual HERO Spring Concert Wednesday night at the Egg Harbor Township Community Center.

Mark Kadetsky, at far right in the group picture, is the music director of the Atlantic Pops Community Band; he welcomed about 200 people to the show at the Egg Harbor Township Community Center.

Wednesday’s concert welcomed back Lt. Cmdr. John Pastin (USN, ret.) as its permanent guest conductor. Lt. Cmdr. Pastin, second from right in the group picture, is the Dean of the College of Performing Arts at Rowan University in Glassboro.
Joe Jacobs, president of the New Jersey Music Educators Association, opened the performance by directing the band’s playing of the national anthem.

Also pictured in the group photo are Pam Tyson, far left, of the HERO Campaign staff, and William and Muriel Elliott, chairpersons of the HERO Campaign.
